The appropriate response is Rosencrantz (and Guildenstern). These are characters in the tragedy - Hamlet. They are beloved companions of Hamlet, summoned by King Claudius to divert the sovereign from his obvious frenzy and if conceivable to find out the reason for it. Likewise, they fill in as the go-between amongst Hamlet and King Claudius on a few events.
