Cholelithiasis, also called gallstones, is the hardened deposits of digestive fluid that can form causing blockage of a duct on the gallbladder. It can cause a severe pain that can go to the shoulder, jaundice( yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes), nausea and vomiting.
