You want to make the denominator of the fractions to be equal to each other.

(2/n+8)+(4/n+1) multiply n+1 by n+8, and multiply n+8 by n+1

(4n+32/n^2+8)+(2n+2/n^2+8) Now that the denominators are equal we can solve the numinator by adding like terms.
4n+2n=6n, 32+2=34

Your final answer is 2(3n+17)/n^2+8
