The form of the linear equation is

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

Since the given equation is

[tex]y=-(-x+1)[/tex]

Simplify it by multiplying each term in the bracket by (-)

[tex]\begin{gathered} y=-(-x)+-(1) \\ y=x+-1 \\ y=x-1 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Compare it with the form above to find the value of m

[tex]m=1[/tex]

The slope of the equation is 1
