y -y1 =m(x -x1)

y - 1 = 0.5(x - [-2])

y - 1 = 0.5(x + 2)

y -1 = 0.5x + 0.5*2

y - 1 =0.5x + 1

  y = 0.5x + 1 + 1

 y = 0.5x + 2

y-intercept = 2
