I believe that she is 16, because 50% is basically 1/2, so eight is half of how old Bianca is right now, and 16 has the a half of 8.

(B+8) = B+ 0.5B

B + 8 = (3/2)B

(1/2)B = 8
B= 16 yrs (Bianca's age now)
