For 5x +6 = 2x + 15
-6. -6
(Subtract 6 from both sides)
5x= 2x + 9
-2x. -2x
(Subtract 2x from both sides)
2x cancels out
Leaving you with
3x = 9
(Now divide 3 from both sides)
And you get
X=3
ANSWER IS: x=3
